Questo comunicato è una richiesta di aiuto per salvaguardare Venezia da un saccheggio continuato e grave.
A opera di sedicenti restauratori incaricati dalla Pubblica Amministrazione, numerose opere pubbliche di viabilità e di arredo urbano, alcune delle quali antiche, vengono sottratte e sostituite con copie per lo più di grossolana fattura. In questo sito si espone la documentazione fotografica raccolta dal Comitato Spontaneo per la Difesa di Venezia che testimonia le evidenti prove di questo malcostume. Vi chiedo, in nome di un patrimonio culturale che di fatto appartiene al mondo, di fare quanto in vostro potere perché cessi il saccheggio della Venezia minore, nonché di promuovere presso le Istituzioni e nell'Opinione Pubblica la formazione di un Consiglio internazionale di esperti che vigili sulla progettazione e la realizzazione di interventi che interessino la città lagunare. This site exposes the photographies and the documentation collected by the Spontaneous Committee for the Defence of Venice which witness to the proofs of this corruption.
I ask you, in the name of a cultural heritage that actually belongs to the world, to do what you can to put an end to the looting of minor Venice, to ask the Institutions and the Public Opinion to commit themselves to the formation of an International Counsel of Experts to watch over the planning and the realization of works concerning the town of the lagoon.
