Gondoliere miracolato, Venezia ancora no.

Dante è un uomo fortunato. Solido, ilare, servizievole, maestro riconosciuto nel recuperare i più disparati oggetti, anche se piccolissimi, caduti in canale a turisti e locali.
Forse per questa sua buona condotta un angelo speciale lo ha tenuto dieci centimetri più in là di quello che poteva essere il suo ultimo appuntamento.

Pioveva, ma Dante ancora indossava la muta da sub usata per recuperare un paio d'occhiali caduti in aqua a un bambino. Era bagnato, quindi non ha percorso la fondamenta del traghetto di San Tomà tenendosi rasente al muro, sotto il riparo dei poggioli del Palazzo. Magari ha pensato: mi sciacquo dal salso: la tuta con la pioggia e la bocca con una birretta.

Mentre si affretta a raggiungere gli amici già avviati verso il bar, a mezza fondamenta, come una pacca sulla spalla, ma non c'è nessuno dietro di lui; a terra una voluta di barbacane in marmo gessificato di forse dieci chili. Sulla spalla della muta appena uno striscio bianco, come un segno di gessetto alla lavagna.

All'orafo Carraro non era andata così bene, qualche anno or sono a San Teodoro. Lui il barbacane in caduta libera lo colse al volo, e al capo, mentre correva per non tardare a un appuntamento. Ma l'appuntamento non era dove lui pensava. La morte aveva posto la sua prelazione.

Non sono eventi casuali, ma avvertimenti del caso. L'intera città si sta sgretolando sotto l'incuria, l'incapacità e l'avidità dei partiti. I Veneziani devono ritrovarsi tali sopra ogni parte, categoria e fazione. O perderanno la loro città, bollati dal mondo intero come figli indegni per i secoli a venire.

Dinamica L'acqua piovana ha potuto infiltrarsi nel corpo della pietra grazie alla profonda erosione delle vene di calcite (frecce bianche) causata dall'eccesso di fumi sulfurei emessi nell'atmosfera umida di Venezia. Raggiunto il perno in ferro di ancoraggio del bracciolo alla facciata, l'acqua piovana acidificata ne ha prodotto l'ossidazione e salificazione, con il connesso aumento di volume e la conseguente frattura della sede in pietra.

Tutta la parte ornamentale aggettante del maestoso palazzo denuncia gravi condizioni di distacco (frecce bianche) e sgretolamento (frecce rosse)

Né si può dire meglio della muratura alla base...

Dante is a lucky man. Solid, merry, helpful, a reknown master in rescueing the most various objects, even if as small as a earring, dropped in the canals from tourists and locals.
It might by cause of this good attitude that a special angel has kept him ten centimetres away from the appointment that could have been his last.

It was raining, but Dante was still wearing the wetsuit he just used to rescue a pair of glasses lost by a child. He was wet, so he did not look for shelter from the rain under the balconies of the palace, near the wall: he walked the fondamenta side by the water. Maybe he thought: "I wash the wetsuit from salt with the rain while I go cleaning my mouth with a beer".

While he was hurrying to reach his friends at the bar, half the fondamenta way, something like a slap on the shoulder, but nobody around; on the floor a marble volute of about ten chilos. On the shoulder of the wetsuit just a white scrape, like a chalk sign on the blackboard.

The goldsmith Mr. Carraro was not that lucky, some years ago in San Teodoro. He got the free-falling barbican on the fly, and right on his head, while he was running not to be in late for an appointment. But the meeting was not were he supposed it was. Death played her pre-emption.

These are not "casual events", but "advices of the case", if you get what I mean.
The whole town is crumbling under the negligence, the ineptitude and the greed of the so called parties. Venetians must recover themselves as Venetians above any fake or true difference in party, category or faction.Otherwise they'll loose their town, remaining marked as despicable sons for the Centuries to come.

Dynamic Water from the rain could infiltrate in the body of the stone thanks to the deep erosion of the calcite veins (white arrows), caused by the excess of sulphuric fumes emitted in the humid athmosphere of Venice. Once reached the iron pin which ties the supporting stone to the facade, acidifyed rain water started a process of salification and oxidation, with the connected increasing in volume and the consequent fracture of the stone seat.

All the architectural ornaments juting out from this stately building denounces serious conditions of detachment (white arrows) and nitric-sulphuric crumbling (red arrows)

Nor we can say anything better about the brickwork at the base...
